One day , as Abena was reurning from
the riverside after fetching water, she fell
down, broke her pot and sustained some
injuries .She could not even stand on her
feet. She fell so sorry for herself and began
to weep

As a disabled person, it was not easy
for her to run errands for people for
money, but she struggled to do so make
ends meet. She believed that, if she had
someone to take care of her she would not
be doing such diffiuclt tasks. She put on
tattered clothes because there was nobody
to buy new ones for her . Through all her
difficulties. Abena believed that her situ
ation would improve some day . She did
not allow her disability to kill her God
given talents.

because those in her community gos-
aiped about her for having given birth to

night and finally decded to abandon
