Mr Dadzie sent her to a good sec
ondary school it was while she was
there that she met a lady who became
very fond of her. Like Mr Dadzie, the first
time the woman set eyes on Abena she
became interested in her, and after get
ting to know that she was academically
good and was of good behaviour, she
offered to take her abroad for treament
Abena therefore, introduced her new
fiend to Mr Dadzie who readily agreed
to the lady,s recouest.

while he was doing his best to help oure

Lnckily for her,a atranger who was
passing by had pity on her and helped her.
when the stranger found out that she had
nobody to take care of her , he decided to
help. The man. Mr Dadzie, took her to her
family house and sought permission from
her relatives ot take care of Abena.
Because nobody cred about about her ,the fam
ily readily accepted. Mr Dadzie ,s propsal
to help Abena and he took her away .That
marked the beginning of a good life for
Abena.

One day , as Abena was reurning from
the riverside after fetching water, she fell
down, broke her pot and sustained some
injuries .She could not even stand on her
feet. She fell so sorry for herself and began
to weep

As a disabled person, it was not easy
for her to run errands for people for
money, but she struggled to do so make
ends meet. She believed that, if she had
someone to take care of her she would not
be doing such diffiuclt tasks. She put on
tattered clothes because there was nobody
to buy new ones for her . Through all her
difficulties. Abena believed that her situ
ation would improve some day . She did
not allow her  disability to kill her God
given talents.

on for food Most of the time she fed on
leftover food from other people,s homes

because those in her community gos-
aiped about her for having given birth to
a phyasically- challenged child . She
tbuoght  over her problem both day and
night and finally decded to abandon
Abena and leave the willage entirely for
another place where nobody could locate
her.

Faumo and her daughter live in a traditional Somali made of old worn-out clothes and plastic sheets. in the Mandeeq village. At present. Fadumo , s daughter and her are in a desperate condition. Ever since Fadumo lost both of her parents, she has lived with the aunt, who like her is a single mother of eight children. With tears in her eyes, she expressed, that her aunt was the breadwinner for their family . Due to this extreme situation, the children and the whole family are struggling sometimes lacking basic necessities such as food and clothes
